in sickness and in health...

believe it or not i took these when i went to a wedding last summer.
it was a little old welsh chapel. out back there was this whole overgrown graveyard area. i got a few odd looks on my way back to the car - when everyone was snapping the happy couple i was busy getting these. don't worry though, i did get some of the main event too.

I LOVE this!!

I think graveyards are fascinating! Here is the US, on the last Monday of May, (we call it Memorial day)we take flowers and put on graves of our loved ones.

Wow. I like the title, and the idea that you were there for a wedding. It makes these very good photos even more interesting. I don't know that I've ever seen a cemetery that wasn't mowed! It's quite nice actually, and you did a wonderful job processing the pictures, good idea in B&W.

I come across these so often... over grown and looking all forgotten.. yet the stones are well worth hunting for. I have a few posts coming up in a week or two with a grave stone I was told about. The carving tells the story of the father and son and how they were murdered. Another is a police man who died on duty is 18??.
