the kettle

just a random shot from around the farm we have stayed on during the summer holidays. it's another one i stumbled across while sorting through the thousands of pics i have on my pc.
it's not a 'pretty' picture but i like the subject matter. it was just resting on top of a pole amongst all the junk.

I think it's a great picture. A picture I would sit down with a pad of paper and pencil and sketch. It has great composition. Very nice, Gaz.

I think it is a fascinating shot! Makes you wonder why it was resting on top of a pole!
And I'm with Ruth....the lighting is exquisite!

Love the lighting in this one. I'm always partial to the rusty, old antiquey things.
Thanks for your comments and well wishes on my blog. its most appreciated. Come again anytime.

I can almost hear it singing, almost see the steam coming out the spout.

I think this is a very good picture Gaz
It made me think of all the cups of tea that it must have made...
No matter what happens in England it seems folk think of a cup of tea.
I can here my mother now.. "oh! what sad news.. come in and I'll put the kettle on" or "oh what good news, come in and tell me all about it over a cup of tea".
Great picture Gaz.. it speaks volumes to me.
