strangers | comrades

they shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

this is one of many photos i have taken from the farm we stay on every year up in the lakes. there's just so much to photograph, so much that grabs your attention. people wander round somewhere like a farm and would be thinking "ew this place is filthy".
but just look at it... it's beautiful.

a burning star comes into view.

a star 93,000,000 miles away, reaching temperatures of 10,000,000 degrees did this.

and only i saw it... at that moment... at that place.

silent night - holy night

travellers tales

this guy aged between 18 and 23 was found at the bottom of an excavated well in chester behind the grosvenor museum. the young man is believed to have died in a fire that destroyed the mansio (an old roman 'travel lodge) in the 3rd century. these mansiones were built every 20 to 30 miles on the major routes across the country for travellers to get a meal, change their horse and bed down for the night. they don't know how he came to be at the bottom of this well.
